Can someone please recommend what services I can use to get into share dealing?

Around here you will generally get the advice not to dabble unless you know what you are doing.

If you do a search on a term such as "trading" or "selftrade" you will find plenty of threads including some which give guidance on doing "dry-run" simulations.

Also might be interesting to watch this programme starting on BBC2 tonight

When you say "share dealing" what specifically do you want to try and do, people seem to use that expression to cover all sorts of things in relation to the stock market. For example, do you want to invest, or trade? If the latter, how active do you want to be, and in which markets?
