Competitions Discussion Thread Part 9

I have just attempted to post a link to a new competition on the forum, having done so in the past, but when I did so a message came up which said that as I am a new user I dont have this priveldge. I am not a new user, having posted previously although recently the site did ask me to change my password as it was the same as my username

Can anybody help? The FAQ section doesn't seem to cover this

I think the rules have changed and you now need to post 10 times before you can quote a link.

Just wondering if any of you multiple winners had any thoughts about the email address that you put on your comp entries. I use a hotmail address (to keep the spam away from my main email address) and wonder if it makes any difference to my winnings, or the complete lack of them. What type of addresses do you all use, and do you win with them?

Ocean FM have contacted me to request that their competitions no longer be posted on this website as they only want them to be open to genuine listeners.

I had a feeling that was going to happen, I've noticed Wave105's comps are going towards "have to go on air" too. I'm happy with that as Wave and Ocean are my local stations anyway and I don't tend to bother with any others unless it was something I really wanted. I think it's fair enough, we all have a localish station, so it's up to us to look regularly to see if there are any comps to enter. don't know how that would effect the bigger stations like Absolute, Capital and XFM etc though. Could be interesting times ahead in radio comp land!
