Sorry, that doesn't seem to work but try searching for cheznal and it should come up as about the fourth thread.

Hi, Not posted in here before but I have been lurking and thanking around the Comps forums. Started comping with MSE last year, and won a few small prizes so far.
I'd like a bit of advice please - I'm a bit concerned about identity theft and so decided a while ago to use a variation of my own date-of-birth when entering online comps (close enough that I still fall into the right age group). I use the same date every time, so I will remember it if ever asked.
Does anyone think that this is likely to ever cause me a problem?
    Thanks.

Technically you're breaking the terms and conditions for every competition you do it for by providing false information. It's always best to give the correct details. If you're worried about identity theft then it's probably not worth entering at all.

It is really annoying not being able to post links. Do you know when I can?

Try the original link with http:// in front and removing the space before showthread and hopefully it will work.

i think since the upgrade of the site they have made it so new users cant post links - a way of slowing the amount of spam down I think
