  • Hello!
First off, I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place, I couldn't see where else to put it.
Over the past three days I've been getting phone calls from bigprizedraw dot com. I just looked them up and they have a website but it looks pretty dodgy.
I've entered a lot of random competitions, but I am certain I have never used this site.
After three calls I still don't know why they're calling me. So far I've been asked about my phone, gas and electricity suppliers twice - the first time I was completely bewildered, said I didn't want to take part in a survey and hung up; the second time I just told them it's scottish power, and they hung up. Yesterday I was asked what my dream holiday would be - again I said I didn't want to take part in whatever this was, and I asked why they were asking me these things -and then they hung up. The connection is really bad and seems to be a call centre in India (just guessing from the accent and the trouble the guy had understanding me, and I had understanding him). It seems like some sort of scam to me, but I don't understand what they can get out of it - is it just market research? Or have I won something without realizing it? Or is it one of those scary things I saw on Watchdog a few years ago, where they record your voice saying "yes" or whatever, and use the recording to prove you've entered into a verbal contract to have something expensive supplied to you ?
Has anyone else been getting these calls?

I have had one of these calls too - asking where my dream destination was and then getting me to confirm my details that they already had! When I questioned them the guy got really defensive which lead me to think it was definately a scam - luckily I have had no more calls (yet) so hopefully it is the last I have heard of them!

    Hello all

I just tried to log in to the Daily Express website to enter a comp and got the following message:
    Profile Has Been Suspended

Hello sarbo, unfortunately your MyEXPRESS profile is currently suspended.
Your profile may have been suspended for several reasons, including:
    • Breach of our MyEXPRESS guidelines
    • Breach of the Daily Express website Terms and Conditions
    • Persistent complaints from other MyEXPRESS members regarding your conduct
I'm a bit surprised as all I ever do on there is enter competitions! Has anyone else experienced the same thing?
    Cheers

That's a bit worrying isn't it? Have you contacted them to see what they have to say?
