housing benfit intitlement

How do i find out how much housing benefit i may be entitle to. I am due to have a baby in six months and i am looking to rent a house private but i am unsure what monthly rental range i should look at thanks.

until the baby is born I think you are entitled to the shared room rate (eg room in a shared house) but you may be able to appeal, then think it will be the 2 bed rate.0 -

I didn't think a baby counted as a whole so the OP would be entitled to a one bedroomed place only, I may be wrong though.0 -
Does you local council website have a HB calculator?

When a baby is 1 they are classed as a 'person'
My friend is in a one bed flat and now her son is one she can be on list for a 2 bedroomed0 -
when i was og with my dd the council gave me a 2 bed home but i moved into a private rented 2 bed home when she was 8 months old. I had to put £10 per week towards the cost of the rent
