Hi guys,
I have a pretty decent Laptop but my two kids are driving me mad wanting to play on the net, or typing or playing games on it(so thats the 3 of us wanting it!lol). Also printing has become a problem as we have the printer connected to a base station but is 7 years old and on it's way out!
So with birthdays coming up......
Can you advise on what i should be looking for? Price range for Laptop/Notebook or similar is about £300-£400 would need half decent spec, wi fi and a decent battery?
Wireless printer? I know nothing about them but could do with being able to hook up all computers to it, without wires would be best! Price range unsure but aware of cartridge costs can be massive on some makes.
Not much info i know but hoping for some ideas or people who have been in a similar position. Anymore questions please ask. Thanks in advance

a lot of surfing recently led us to Tesco, who did a nice Sony Vaio for 400 quid, that was 3 months ago but we found Tesco were pretty cheap generally, and if you go into one of the big stores have a nice range you can look at. John Lewis were quite reasonable as well, we avoided PC world on principle. Dell always seem expensive when you start digging into the specs.
Wireless Printer, or you could get a DSL router than connect a USB printer as a print server (like my trusty US robotics hub) - HP would be a good start as you cant really go wrong and the replacement carts are easy to find.0 -
Thanks, would you guys suggest a laptop each then rather than one of those little notebook things?0

Would a Samsung NC10 do the job? I know very little about these things but have been reading another discussion on this forum??0

There were some good offers a while ago at tescos. It's difficult to find a laptop that'll do even moderate gaming at £400. You could just go with this one: £430 dell, intel dual-core 2Ghz, 2GB ram, 256MB ati 3450, 15.4inch, 160GB hd. Though I'd advise at least an ati 3470/nvidia 9300M, or preferably better, but they do tend to cost more.0

I have been reading up about the Samsung NC10, do any of you guys have one and what are your thoughts on this?
Does anyone also know anything about wireless printers?
