Cahoot, are so long winded, still not managed to open a savings account, decided to move from ING because of the rate change, nothing but problems,I did not want to borrow, just save but believe me they are so slow, the application on the website is not user friendly, and they make you jump through every hoop.

i agree, they do mess you about, just ring in & ask to speak to customer services, they usually TRY to make things right!, at the end of the day its about the best rates & making money for us, so just get their landline-no off saynoto0870.com. Hope this helps, goodluckNo one said it was gonna be easy!0

Money laundering legislation is the real problem. Not too much of an issue with a High Street Bank, where you take passport and utility bills but sending same though the mail is a nightmare. IMHO this is a real pain for honest Joe Public but does very little to prevent the crooks.
I would add that Cahoot is very good to deal with. In my experience they answer e mail enquiries within 24 hours."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Hi
I don't want to start a new thread on cahoot, so I hope no one minds me tagging on to this one (i'm not trying to hi-jack it or anything)
I applied for a Savings account with Cahoot on 12th January. At the time they were offering 5.25% AER for six months. They confirmed that the account had been conditionally accepted by email on the 13th. I filled in the usual forms and sent ID documents as required on the day of receipt.
I've not caused any delays and acted promptly. I've had no correspondence from them to confirm my account is open.
Baring in mind that the 5.25% rate for 6 months (for balances over £15K) has now been withdrawn, and is now 4.85%, will I get the prefered 5.25% or 4.85%?
I would be greatful of any advice....My farts hospitalize small children0 -

How predictable….
For your information I have and I’ve had no response back from them. I have also tried to call them. Anyone who has also tried to call today, would know that they have an issue with there phones at the moment.
I thought that I’d ask on this forum because others may have been in a similar situation. My farts hospitalize small children0 -
