Mosquito Repellent

Going to Sri Lanka and the Maldives in March/April 09 (getting married) and would like your advice on what/where the best mosquito repellent can be purchased.
We are after both plug ins for the rooms and roll on/creams/sprays for ourselves. (roll ons prefered)
I know to go for ones that have a high DEET content, but would like all you good folks, who have tried and tested products, what you recommend both product and formulation.
Ive heard all the myths like using Garlic, vitamin B, ultrasound devices, Marmite and gin and tonic, and am sure they work for some people, but I not prepared to eat Marmite, garlic and to get drunk on G n T as a mosquito repellent on my wedding/honeymoon for it not to work and then we look like a Mozzie buffet. (wouldn't that be a outtake for You've been framed)
Thanks in advance
