How to transfer existing MP3 collection to an iPod?

  • Getting it onto an iPod requires very particular formatting (which is similar to, but annoyingly not the same as, what is required for a PSP). You need QuickTime Pro or all number of shareware apps to do that

No need for QT Pro Alex: if your video is already in the iTunes library, choose Advanced > Convert Selection for iPod. This duplicates the movie file to an iPod-friendly format.
