does anyone know if you can get the da when leaving the service then? following pvr and not on FTOD?

simple answer is no, unless you have bought a house and relocated your family to that area prior to your final tour of duty. Dont have the jsp ref but through the over 37 package thats what it says. as for courses you claim the £85 DA only if you are posted there, like VMs for example on there cl 1 and send boxes through the system.

Has this changed recently then? Because when I left the RAF in 2006 I moved to rented accommodation in London where I'd got a job. I got DA, Removals etc for that, minus a small amount.
Don't tell me that after all the years I served they actually finally made a mistake where I dipped in?!:rotfl:

well we dont give it out in our admin office anyway if you havent done your 22, and that got clarified by M&S shipping who deal with arranging the removals as we had one guy who had been incorrectly told he could get removals or UKPASH. You will get relocated to the uk if serving abroad but thats all. I dont know what the RAF rules were prior to JPA when allowances changed but im guessing you poss were entitled to it as it was our RAF clerk who told him he could have it.
