Linksys WRT54G Hack

Hi,

I read somewhere that its possible to hack the operating software of the above wireless router and therefore increase the power settings.

Has anyone tried this out???
You can't con an honest man!

    My brother has done. There's loads of different firmware for it as the original firmware is under GPL.

    OpenWRT is one of the better known ones, although can be a little trickier to setup as you'll need Linux knowledge.

    Hyper is probably the most popular from seeing forum polls. Read up on it, make sure you know what's going on before doing anything as you'll be flashing the firmware.
