howdy-doody.
I have a car insurance policy with direct line which is in its 2nd month. I have just received my student loan through and would very much like to just pay a hunk of the policy off up front, so that i can either have it paid off a few months earlier (freeing up a bit of cash for christmas) or not have to worry about the next few months payments (whichever way it works)
I have tried contacting Direct Line, but have been kept on hold on two occasions thus far for nearly 20 minutes at a time, so i've decided to ask you good people on here.
failing paying off my insurance, i'm going to just pay off the rest of my mobile contract (5 months left), but would prefer to pay off the insurance.
thanks in advance, much love xx

it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
their - 'owned by them'
they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)

If they wont let you do that
Could you not open another bank account, put in enough money to cover the direct debits for 6 months, change your bank details with direct line and then just forget about account for the next 6 months or try and add to it to cover the rest of insurance.Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass,it's about learning to dance in the rain.0 -
With Direct Line you can only pay off the full outstanding balance - its all or nothing unfortunately. If you're calling back to do it press the option for "if you've had a letter from the Accounts Department" (sorry cant remember the number).0
