Gas & Electric Certificate

We are currently in the process of renting out our accomodation and need to provide both a gas certificate and a Energy performance certificate.

Does anyone know of companies that could provide us with these as we have been quoted by our letting agents £60 gas £120 electric.

We are in suffolk - not sure if that makes a difference.

    Is this the first time the property has been rented since 1.10.08 if so you will need one. Also there is a requirement to get one, however it last for 10 years.

    Gas Certs can be obtained by Corgi registered engineers in your local yellow pages. Please ensure they are corgi registered by checking CORGI's site. This way you can get quotes before using the letting agents.

    £25-£40 for gas cert
    £50 -£75 for an EPC ( don;t confuse this with an electric safty- )

    would be more like it
