Cleaning stickers/glue off rear window/headlights?
Hi I have just bought a new car and would like to take off a GB sticker that has been put on the rear screen and also the dealers sticker that has been put on the inside of the same window.
Also there are glue marks on the headlights where little patches have been put on when the car has been taken abroad.
Any tips as to get the stickers/glue off easily?
Thanks,
Pete.

Ok first are they on the inside or the outside? If inside be careful they do not cross your heating elements on the rear screen.
The headlight I suggest will come off easily with whitespirit.
The ones on the back could be troublesome. The best way if it doesn't just come off in one go easily (or if it feels as though it is going to be difficult, take up one corner with a stanley knife blade. then get a hair drier and heat the sticker up, it should help to get it off, finish off with a whitespirit wipe.
Be very careful if they are over the heating lines.0 -
try using some wd40 on yout headlamp lense, tends to be effective in taking sticky residue off.
on your back window, a tip is to heat the screen up first using a hair dryer, to loosen up the glue and it'll peel off easier. As mentioned in previous posts, be careful you dont overheaten the heat strips on the rear window.

Update!
Suprisingly the GB sticker without any fuss at all but the Dealer sticker that is on the inside of the rear window is gonna be a !!!!! to get off as it's all brittle and hard. Sure the dealer put em on the inside over the heater elements just to be awkward!

I've used a hot air gun (carefully though) in the past. Then White Spirits or some other solvent to clean the glue mess off.Happy chappy0

Hot water bottle on the inside ones.
Petrol, if white spirit is of no use. Usual precautions, obviously!!

or acetone (nail varnish remover) or evo-stik solvent, possibly meths
if it's that hard, soak a cloth and leave it on it for a while, with polythene taped over to prevent solvent evaporation0
