My wife parked at a train station Sat morning till Sun night she used the NCP fast park thingy to pay.
Came back to the car got a ticket "Parked in a pay and display car park without clearly displaying a valid pay and display ticket"
The fast park site shows her transaction.

EXPIRE DATE 2009/01/12 09:17:10 GMT
LICENSE 02***
VENDOR NCP (Arriva)
AMOUNT GBP 9.10
VAT 239 0546 59
The only problem is the Reg number which is missing the first 2 digits (i've *** the last 3).
Should we appeal or just go for the ignore it route?
Anybody succefull appealed a NCP ticket ever?

Unless the notice says its under railway byelaws its generally assumed its safe to ignore.Scan, remove identifying marks and post on this site so more experienced people can look at it and confirm.(Back and front of notice)I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

It is under Railway Byelaws0

As you also mentioned 'Arriva' it does sound legit and will have been issued under Byelaw 14. Cannot be ignored.
There have, though, been some rather dubious ones seen recently. It's worth posting it up.0 -

The point is she paid and now we have a ticket.
The colour of the car is wrong its blue0 -
It looks the same as the one I mentioned was debated.
The point being that whilst it quotes all of the correct legislation it then goes on to talk of collection in a 'ppc' way? It doesn't mention the ultimate recourse to Maggy's Court?
I suggest you take this to PePiPoo mate cos they've seen one before. can't remember the outcome.0 -
Well we apealled on the grounds that we paid for parking. They have replied saying that they have cancelled the notice on this occasion.
So NCP aint all bad.0 -
Ooh, I had one of these the other week. The first time I used it I mistakely jumbled up the digits of the car park location code. I'd entered 7150 instead of 7051. :embarasse
I rang them and they were really helpful (surprisingly!). They cancelled it there and then as they could see that I'd paid for a day's parking "somewhere", just not where my car actually was...0
