yep lisa you have hit nail on the head. its a nightmare and can cause such pain i certainly wouldnt see it as cosmetic but i can see how others might. i guess all i can do for now is wait and see what dentist says tomorrow. as for bankruptcy was supposed to be receiving a call from a solicitor at 2 but not heard anything yet so that a good start, will ask him too if he ringsl

I must say i have been on mst and have 2x 130mg mst a day and 500ml oramorph also phentonol and i do not have problems with my teeth.???
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

my doses are higher than that and take other opiates supposedly to help me sleep. how long have you been taking yours though? i started mine july 2003
  • could you perhaps get a second opinion for a different dentist? and then use this as your decision. I'll be honest, if i was in your position i would go for the more permanent solution!

Good luck with what ever you do.

As I said on another of your threads - if it was me I would do it as it is essential dentistry. I really believe these things should be on the NHS as your health could suffer from having no teeth.

If the OR doesn't like it what is he going to do - ask for your implants back?

Toothsmith - thanks for posting. Makes sense about the dentures.

    completely aggree

homealone illness has caused this to happen. would the OR deny a person going through chemo a wig as their hair fell out, just to give the money to the creditors, as i would see this as being in the same catagory.

my mum is going through chemo for the second time because of cancer and the hair falling out affected her self confidence badly she felt it was like a flashing sign saying look at me ive got cancer. so can understand what homealones going through and if you dont get an understanding OR like FYP said whats the worst they can do??? BRO!!

they has been a few people on here that use BR as an easy way to get out of debt and run up large amounts from spending on crap really, but i see this as essential spending. so my opinion is have the work done if the OR doesnt take kindly to it you can always appeal against their decision

  • if it's any help my hubby, lost a lot of his top teeth through gum infections etc.

He has top set dens and bottom his own teeth. He gets on with them fine and to be honest is glad not to have the pain anymore.
