Any one any experience of getting 'contents' only insurance for a rented property?
Seems the comparison sites don't make it easy to separate the two.
Also any recomendations?
Just on customer service and that sort of thing?
Thanks:o

When using comparison sites you have to start filling in details then a few questions into the quote they ask what type of cover you would like. There is usually a drop down box and you have to choose from Buildings only, Contents only or Buildings & Contents.
The same for the question of ownership. You just choose if you own outright, own but with a mortgage, rent etc etc.
I found this to be the same with at least 3 comparison sites last week when sorting out cover for my parents.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Hi Flossy,
I usually find that comparison sites are ok but remember they don't include all insurers.
If you find a quote you like through a comparison site I suggest you do a search in Google to find reviews of that particular company.
You could work the other way around and look at reviews before applying for quotes. I just took a quick look now and scores out of 10 seem to be pretty shocking for a number of insurers! :rotfl:
Make sure you get enough cover by spending some time estimating the value of your contents and picking out any more expensive items (High spec PC's, antiques etc) that might need cover indiviually.0
