I bought a 4gb SD Card for my Wii and I can't use it. The console says the "device in the SD Card slot cannot be used" or words to that effect. Does anyone know why as I was told in can use any SD Cards

IIRC the Wii can only use normal SD cards, which limits them to up to 2gb in capacity.
Anything over 2gb in capacity is almost certainly the newer SDHC (SD High Capacity) format, which is the same physical size, but the 2gb+ cards will not work in non SDHC slots (the idea of using the same physical size media is that old cards can still be read in the new readers).
Unfortunately this means you can't use your 4gb card in the Wii0
