i will be using my motability vehicle to drive to airport next week, but am worried that if having a bad day and not up to drive will my friend be able to drive it, he has a full comp insurance to drive any vehicle but does that cover vehicles under the motability scheme. only eve had ex drive it and he was a named driver???

I have a motability car. ONLY named drivers are insured full stop. Even if someone else has fully comp insurance so is technically insured on their own policy to drive your car third party, it is not valid on a motability car...you could try phoning motability and getting your friend added as a named driver - you are allowed upto 3."According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way that a bee should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway. Because bees don't care what humans think is impossible" Bee Movie 20070

Your friend is not fully comp to drive any vehicle, nobody is these days.
He will only be covered for third party risks and I suspect this would breach the terms of your motability contract.0 -
thanks to you both, i thought that would be the case. its not worth going through hassle of adding him as named driver as it was only for one journey and car being changed in about 7 weeks0
