E: 22/02 £60,000 and 6-month holiday on barrier reef

Apologies if this is already posted. I have searched.
This is being marketed as a "job offer," but it sure sounds like a competition to me! OK, so it is a job offer - but it's an "are you taking the mick?" once-in-a-lifetime job offer; that's why I've posted it here!
It seems to be some kind of gimmicky marketing operation by tourism officials in Queensland Australia to boost tourism in the barrier reef islands.
Basically you get paid approx. £1,000 an HOUR to go on a working (ahem!) holiday for six months! If you have six months of your life to spare or are currently unemployed, GO FOR IT!
The "applicants" have to submit a video and 11 candidates will be chosen for "interview" and the winner gets six months on their own desert island in a 3 bedroom house "employed" in the capacity of so-called caretaker on flexi-time (approx. 12 hours per week - edit. Oops. Actually, the Daily Mail says it's 12 hours per MONTH!) of arduous tasks such as snorkelling, collecting the island mail, travelling to neighbouring islands, etc). You will also have to submit video blogs and and things, to tell the world about what a wonderful time you're having and how brilliant it is in Australia - but hey, you're given internet access in your 3-bedroom house!
And yes, website says you can take a partner/friend... :j
