I understand that Argos items have catalogue numbers on them, but that doesn't prove it was bought at Argos.
To refund an item they need to know where, when and how a purchase was made. If your auntie could give you that information, or even the reciept (if it was paid in cash or vouchers) you may be able to get a refund.
Colliefrog, I too work for Argos - I feel your pain, my friend, with refunds!! This kind of thing happens to us on a very regular basis. Argos customers - all we can ask is for you to have some kind of proof of purchase. Obviously receipts are best, but if you've got a bank statement and know which store you went to, we can usually trace things that way.0 -
Exactly!
I had a customer come in today. She'd bought an item in a different store, didn't have a reciept but knew roughly when she bought it. All it took was a call the the store to see if one was sold when she said she'd bought it, then a quick look at the audit roll to confirm the card it was paid with was hers. Simple!
We just need as much info as possible. It's pretty easy to look up transactions, especially ones less than 3 months old.0 -
I've always found Argos great at refunding unwanted/faulty items without any quibble. It does mean that I can shop there with confidence and definitely shop there more due to this.
One question though, with faulty OR unwanted items...what happens to all of these?Sky-blue pink
