I have just started working for myself as a cleaner and i have been asked by this guy who runs his own business to go round and clean his clients home. He pays me on behalf of the client but only when work is done and when i produce an invoice.
The client tells me what to do when i am there and i have to supply my own materials and put right any work that is not done as the client wants and getting to and from the house.
I decide if i want any work and he has agreed to let me charge him x amount per hour.
He has offered me 10 hours per week and this fits in with other clients of my own.

You have answered the specific criteria listed on HMRC as to whether you are self employed or not.
You are definitely self-employed and MUST register as such within three months of commencing self-employment or you are liable to be fined.I'll have some cheese please, bob.0
