How can I bid up to the reserve price if no one bids against me?

agreed. I was reading this thread and thought to myself 'if the seller knows you want it, they could be shill bidding next time'. The seller knows you are prepared to pay more than £100 for the item, so they may shill bid. If there is an early opening bid on the item when the auction starts, BEWARE! You shouldnt have contacted the guy about it. Perhaps bid very late, or not at all due to a potential shill to ensure it goes for good money. For example, if the reserve was £120 then they could shill £119.99 and then either it doesnt sell, or it goes for good money.0

When he re-lists, don't bid until the last moment. Don't pay more than what you think it is worth, even if that is below the reserve, if it doesn't sell a second time, then its not worth what they are asking (i've noticed that sellers in the area that I watch are asking stupid prices at the moment and they are just not selling - must be something in the air).0
