Im not sure on the costs involved but I've been running the heaters like this for a couple of day. From observations the heaters typically switch on for 5 minutes every 20 minutes
In my area electricity is typically charged at 12.75p inc VAT per kWh. So, you're using 1.2kW for six hours of the day, a total of 7.2kW. 7.2kW x 12.75 = 91.8p per day.0 -
I am running 2 heaters. Done an ball-part calculation of 2 heaters roughly working out at £2 a day. Im hoping they'd be going off in a couple of weeks

Electric bill this year £360 - If all goes to plan0 -
Hi new to site. We have prepayment Eon meter gas and electric. We are currently paying about £70.00 a week no kidding on the gas and £30.00 on electric.
Hi hcp112
Just seen your original thread. This does seem a lot for gas.
I would check your meter to see if it is set up correctly. You can do this by pressing and holding button A on the meter (this is usually red) until you hear a beep. Do this without putting the card in.
A display will appear. Each time the button is pressed another display will come up.
These meters hold an awful a lot of information and there are over 30 different displays.
The rates the meter is charging for gas will be found between numbers 5 and 10.
As a prepayment customer you will also have a daily Standing Charge. This will be found on setting number 17.
Make sure the Standing Charge and unit rate match the prices on your statements/terms and conditions.
Also check if there is any debt on the meter. To do this you will need to put your card in the meter and press button A as before. If there is a debt it will be shown on setting number 27.
Don't know when you moved in but if it was recent perhaps a debt may still be on from a previous tenant. Worth checking.
If the meter is not set correctly give us a call and we will re-set it. We will also look at refunding any money you have overpaid.
Hope this helps.
