Tesco

Hi All,

I have had Tesco car insurance for the past 2 years, and wondered do you think they would backdate these points onto my clubcard?

Thanks.

  • Hi there

I think your best bet is to phone them up and ask them. Please let us know what they say

Ive had tesco car insurance for a couple of years too (also my husband), and thought you earn 1 point for every £2 of your premium, however when I have called up to query this I have been told that:

-Its only a short term offer and the offer is not on at the time my premuim is due.
    OR
-it is a regular offer, similar to acruing points when you shop in store, and should have been applied and will appear on my next club card statement...but then it doesnt, and I call up again....

It seems to depend on who you talk to at the call centre, if it could be backdated it would be great!!! Or even if it could be applied to the current years premium it would be better than nothing. So I would be interested to hear if anyone who has tesco car insurance actually gets these points or have been sucessful in asking for this in retrospect.

I have found that when renewing insurance, that 'retentions' often apply the current 'new customer' deals if you explain you have had cheaper quotes and may not renew with tesco. (ie the current £50 voucher) but again this is descretionary, and depends on who you speak to, and how friendly you are
