For guaranteed Welsh spoken everywhere you go, take a trip to Caernarfon and Snowdonia, there are also some lovely beaches on the Llyn Peninsula and down towards Harlech (and looooads of castles!). Also travel a little further South and you'll reach Portmeirion (about half an hour from Caernarfon)

Agree with this. You can't get more welsh than this.

Not far from Anglesey, Llyn, Pwllheli, Bedd Gelert - plenty of days out there for you!

Have to agree with all the Swansea suggestions OP, we live about 30 miles away and often go there for days and evenings out, for me it has a bit of everything. Further West is also lovely, we try to get down to Camarthanshire about two or three times a year, loads of Welsh speakers in that area.

Can't believe no-ones mentioned Merthyr Tydfil
    ;-)

The famous or infamous (depends on who your asking :P) welsh twang seems to originate from the south, most notably the valleys area.
