Ihave found few items that was going to sell on Ebay, however all are broken in one way or another, they include:
I River 20gb mp3 player
Night owl night vision monocular
Sony Mini Disc player
Yamaha QY70 music sequencer
between them if they worked would expect about £140-150
So is there any way I can sell them as broken, by explaining problem, selling them for refurbishment/ spares??
Are there any specialist ways of selling such items?
Should I sell them as a job lot of electrical items for refurb??
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

As long as you explain, clearly, that they are broken, and what is wrong with them, you should be fine. I'd sell them individually, but offer a discount shipping rate for more than one item.We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0

Sell them as broken and suitable as spares. I have done this before and some things still go quite well so worth a try.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Ive got something I want to sell that's broken but I'm not sure whether it will go or not.
It's a 3mp Canon camera, with the trigger button and spring missing. I don't think that'll sell, what do you all think?0 -

Searched closed listings for similar items, see if anything like that has sold before. I would guess that people in the know may snap it up to recondition it and sell it on.We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0 -
I sold my broken Sony cybershot
on ebay it finished on £22.16
a couple of years ago
I put in my listing in red writing
This camera is not working
I am selling it sold as seen
I cannot accept a return
on this item
If you have an idea of the fault its
a good idea to mention what it is,
as you get people bidding who want to
buy it just to get a specific part of it
to use to repair a similar or same model
also if you have the origional packaging,
manual,charger etc this helps too:j:j:j0 -
people often use the phrase "spares or repair" in their title/ listing.
No problem selling broken / damaged things provided you are clear and honest in your description.0 -

I would think so mine was supposed to be
unrepairable and yet it sold:j:j:j0 -

I'm just thinking will be people repair a camera that probably wont sell anyway, as it's actually 3.2megapixels, which you can easily get on a phone these days!
I guess its worth a shot. May wait to a free/cheap listing day though.0 -
I sold a broken laptop once for around 50% of the original price brand new..Buyer was really happy, he told me it would be a project to repair it and he was looking forward to the challenge.
I was embarrassed at how many times I got the word 'broken' into that listing..I wasn't taken any chances.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I remember something else as well. I bought a new digital camers some years ago now and I used it for a few months and absolutely hated it. I much preferred my older lower spec one. I sold it and I was grumpy at the camera as I had a ghastly set of holiday snaps from it, so I described it in the listing as a useless piece of junk that wouldn't know a decent picture if it fell over one in the dark. It sold at nearly full price!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
