Nice hotel outside Edinburgh

Hello everyone, I am travelling to Scotland in February and I'd like to find a nice rural hotel/guest house up to 60 miles outside Edinburgh.
Ideally I'm looking for a place close to a railway station with plently of nice walking routes in the surrounding areas.

Have you done a search for hotels around Gullane, North Berwick area's. Lovely walks and scenery etc . Some nice hotels too.0

This is around 25 miles south of Edinburgh. No trains but local bus service to Edinburgh.
Peebles is very scenic.
