I used Red Funnel when I last went to Isle of Wight, but luckily they didn't crash into the dockThe Very Right Honourable Lady Tarry of the Alphabetty thread-I just love finding bargains and saving moneyI love to travel as much as I can when I canLife has a way to test you, it's how you deal with this that matters0

If you're staying in Yarmouth then go from there to the Needles by open-top bus rather then driving so you can see the views.
If you venture to the east end of the island then St Helens has a nice harbour and beach with the Baywatch cafe by the beach.

If you want a good b & b you could try the Belmore in Sandown http://www.thebelmore.co.uk It is spot on. !
Sadly I've tried several times to contact The Belmore with no success - I've emailed them a couple of times and their phone just goes through to an answer machine. Has anyone stayed here recently?

Last year we went to see Paul Weller at Osbourne House and there is a lovely little hotel right there in the grounds of Osbourne House (Albert Cottage Hotel), we wished we had booked up to stay there. There's not a lot going on in East Cowes but it's quite a nice base to explore from and really quite close to Fishbourne where the Wightlink car ferry sails to.Well I can't stand by the side
And watch this life pass me by
