Hi
This is my very first post and I wasn't sure where to put this one.
My sister in Australia has a skype phone and I would very much like to be able to speak to her via this. I have managed to download the programme required but am having trouble finding which phone/headset is best to use with it. I did ask at PC World but he didn't seem to know what I was talking about
and showed us to headsets and left us.
many thanks

Microphone and speakers at the most basic is all you need. So pretty much any headset should do. Obviously the more you pay the better it tends to be but then Skype isn't exactly high fidelity so you don't need to go overboard. You can get "phones" but that's purely for "ease of use", a phone is still essentially just a speaker and microphone."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

I have used skype from time to time and just use a headset I bought for about a fiver. It does the job.JeremyMarried 9th May 20090

My boss often travels abroad, and we use Skype to keep in touch then, and when I'm working from home - a basic headset is all you need if you want to go the headset route for privacy, otherwise speakers and mic. You can also add a web cam if you fancy it too. Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0

I have a Tesco Internet Phone which I use with Skype. However the problem with this phone is that it hijacks my sound system so that if I want to listen to music on my pc I have to listen through the phone. I am considering buying a phone that does not do this. Any recommendations?0
