Good website for CV templates

Hi all,
Due to a potential "reestructure" at my current company I need to have a CV nice and ready just in case. I no longer have my last CV so I wonder if anyone could direct me to a good website for free templates or examples for a top notch CV.
Also, is paying to get the CV done worth it? There are many agencies on the web claiming to create top CVs.
Many thanks

Why not try the "Resume and CV" templates available in Word. Certainly Word 2007 has lots of job-specific examples. (Resume is the American term and that is why they don't appear higher up the alphabetic list as CVs.)0

I would consider how you can adjust a CV to highlight those successes you've had that are deemed as highly important in your role. ie - bullet point successful on-time and on-cost projects you've managed, etc, to make them stand out and to show you are good at what you do. For example as a buyer I list the big savings I have made in previous roles. IMO it makes a bigger impact than just listing what your responsiblities are.
I don't bother putting the words 'Curriculum Vitae' on there either, it just takes up more space and all HR know what it is they're looking at
I didnt find any decent templates for mine but have the following format:
Name/address/contact details at top (name is where the words 'CV' normally appear).
Statement about current position and where I want to be eg goals, ambitions (adjusted across a few versions to cater for different industries etc)
IT Skills
Work Experience (most recent first - in fact most recent has it's own heading so they can easily see what I'm doing currently)
GCSEs/A-Levels etc
Professional Qualifications (should maybe be higher up tbh!)

Hi,
Was it a good investment? Did you get any job offers afterwards?Member 7 of 100 to 10k - £100 to £10k = £1490
