Navman maps

Just saw a lot of NAVMAN maps on ebay (there seems to be a lot around for the ICN) - they dont work on my navman regrettably - but I thought it was a good price - a pound a piece inc postage - just not sure what the catch is - apart from they wont work on an S30!!

Edit your original post to remove the link
    .....

  • If you've bought a navman s series recently you will be entitled to a free 2009 map upgrade when it's out so no need to buy it

    deleted - silly of me

The catch is that £1 is the starting price because it's an auction, and one which undoubtedly you are promoting. You've been a member of this form for some time so you can't pretend to be unaware of what you're doing here. Edit your post now and delete the link yourself.

    You've got it!

    thanks for this
  • The catch is that the maps for the iCN are ancient. The last update for my iCN device was from around 2006; the same year I bought it. As you might imagine the device was completely useless after 6 months.

It is possible to do an unofficial upgrade on the iCN series to run Miomap 2008 (virtually the same software running on the S-Series). Instructions on how to do this can be found here. Navman still refuse to offer an official upgrade path for iCN owners.

I would discourage anyone from buying Navman / MioMoov products. Map updates are far too infrequent. With Navman's new Spirit interface launching later in the year, the next 2009 map update for the S-Series will probably be the last.

As a Navman owner I would urge you to buy a Tomtom instead, unless you want to buy a another new Navman next year.
  • The catch is that everyone got a load from boffer, and they are trying to shift them all at once ;)
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine. :p
