So I'm getting milk tokens for a tin of powdered milk a week. since i dont bottle feed, i breast feed, the milk tokens can also be used to get full fat or semi skimmed milk, roughly a pt a day!
Right now I have 4 x tokens, and each token is worth 7pts of milk to be redeemed before 16th feb. according to my letter though I'll get another load of tokens next week  and then every 4 wks after that. so i have coupons for 28pts right now, and probably another 28pts next week!
Now i'm chinese and unless you've never noticed, chinese people just dont use milk in cooking or eating at all! my parents used 4pts a week feeding 6kids!! we only ever used it for cereals and tea, and only then occasionally.
so does anyone have any ideas for what to do with so much milk? can you make ice cream from milk? i think the only thing i can think of is ice cream, and thats pretty much all i'll eat made from milk....
any ideas? or anything imaginative and not 'milky' since i dont even like the taste of it most of the time!

If you really don't need the tokens then why not say you don't want them, and save the NHS/Government/Taxpayer some money?
Not meaning to be blunt, but it is a bit of a waste all round if you are just trying to get rid.I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

You could make milky puddings, such as rice pudding, have porridge, I'm sorry I don't really have anymore ideas than that but you could get your milk delivered by the milk man as they take vouchers and I think they dont mind taking them if the date stamped is about to go so you could get a pint delivered a day and you don't pay for delivery also, even though you are breast feeding you could exchange them for follow- on milk for when your baby is older. sorry if I waffled on I hope I've been some help.cc debt ( end dec 05) 6485

If you exchange then for powdered baby milk you could always donate it to your local hospital, or a childrens charity. Apart from that, it would be milky puddings!!!!

Come to think of it I used to get the vouchers and use them as coupons at the supermarket. Every week they deducted about £1.50 from my shopping and I didnt have to buy all the milk.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

Although the supermarkets in North Devon a few years back would only take the tokens if you bought milk, but def worth checking to see if they will take them!!!!0 -
We get through loads too, kids drink it in milkshakes and always put lots in their porridge and cereal in the mornings. Sometimes certain smaller shops allow you to put your tokens in a book so you just take what you need and they deduct what you take and you don't have to worry about getting through gallons of milk by next milk token day.“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. In your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you.” - Oscar Wilde0

Do you like yogurt? It is quite easy to make and you don't need special equipment. There was a thread about yogurt making on this board recently.0

Drink it - the government gives the tokens because nursing mothers and breast feeding babies need the calcium. If you're not used to drinking milk - think of it as medicine.0

Karnam - I'm assuming that, as you are Chinese, you are 85% likely to be lactose intolerant. It's genetically highly likely, in fact only those with predominantly Western European genes can process milk after childhood! Any great increase in your milk consumption may upset your digestive tract and can have long-lasting complications.
Would you find any use for soya milk rather than dairy produce? Not sure it would be available under the terms for redemption of tokens, though.
Follow-on milk for when your child stops breast-feeding is also a good suggestion.
Ordinary powdered milk - you would have a supply that would last for months!"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0
