Voulunteering from home

I've noticed on this forum many people trying to get an idea of what volunteering opportunities there are out there. Has anybody considered doing voluntary work from their own home. Part of my spare time at home is taken up by volunteering my time for charities or worthwhile causes.
To this effect, I just wondered whether anybody else had come across this website 'Help From Home' http://www.helpfromhome.org/ as I think it would help in finding ideas for volunteering work that could be done right from the comfort of your own home. If you're that way inclined, then it really doesn't get any easier than that, methinks.

Having posted the above post a wee while ago, I'm now curious as to what, if any, voluntary actions people do do from their home. I suppose I'm looking for suggestions as to what else there is out there.0

I do several voluntary jobs from home. I research and write funding applications, draft policies and procedures, do outline business plans and compile accounts for small groups.£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0

I edit audio and video reports and mail out leaflets for the BNP. It's a pleasure to do this for my people and my country.0

I volunteer as a Brownie Guider, and although I obviously hold the weekly meeting elsewhere, I do all my planning, accounts and other paperwork at home.
I also volunteer at the local community centre and was secretay to the management board for several years. I usually typed the minutes at home, while the kids were in bed.0 -
I used to do all the admin for an out of school club from home. Including the payroll. But it did involve regular trips to the club.Signature removed for peace of mind0

I knit for charity! I also collect used stamps.
I'll be checking out that website to see if there is other stuff I can do.0 -
I sell for charity on ebay. It's an easy way to raise money and it's addictive fun too. I also pick up donations from other people and pass them on.
It's not that much effort to do this and you can do it as and when you've got the time. I really recommend it.,0
