Help - Red Laser Line on Monitor

Good Morning,

I was using the computer when all of a sudden a thin red laser line appeared horizontally down the middle of my screen. I'm a bit worried that if I turn it off in the hope it will disappear it may not come back on at all.

Any ideas what this is?

Its a Hannspree 19 " Monitor.

Funnily enough its now disappeared. My Oh said it happened last night as well so I guess its likely to come back.

Make sure the cable to the computer is screwed in both ends

Is it the actual monitor screen, or just a 'graphic' that the monitor screen is displaying? (ie, is it a physical thing, or just red 'pixels' being displayed)
Could be you just need a graphics card update.

Could also be you have something 'nasty' lurking on your computer
