Upgrading to optical mouse!!

Dell sent me the wrong mouse when I specifically asked for the free upgrade to optical mouse. Despite various e-mails andphone calls, I have had no satisfactory response with CS. It's a pain to get through CS, I am wondering whether there is much difference between the oridnary mouse and optical one. Is it worthy for me to make a fuss about it as I intend o write to their head office? Thanks

You don't have to keep cleaning you balls!
I'd complain and make then give you what you ordered.0 -
Complain... As I expect the charge was hidden somewhere in the package deal.0

Guess it depends how good the optical mouse is. You can pick them up on eBay for a few quid (got an MX500 for £4 myself!), a lot less hassle.
I personally wouldn't go back (got a laser one at home), and am trying to break my current work one so I can get an optical mouse
It's just smoother and more accurate (ie doesn't suffer from the ball getting clogged up and not moving properly, which I find very frustrating).
You'll be fine either way though. It's more a luxury than anything else, probably worth getting though if Dell offered it to you."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -
If you're having no luck with the CS call centre (I've found them very helpful, especially the supervisors - usually the person who deals with you gives their supervisors email) it might be worth guessing their CEOs email address and sending him a polite email. Worked well when I had a problem with orange!
My guess (I could be completly wrong about the syntax of their email addresses ) is that it's either kevin_rollins@exchange.dell.com or kevin_rollins@dell.com
Whilst I was looking, found a site just devoted to complaints about dell, both from their own employees as well as customers http://www.ihatedell.net/0
