got my first 0% card!!! barclaycard platinum

well all after years of trying to get a 0% card, i finally got a 0% platinum card..... :)

really cant belive it!! :)

only a small limit of £850, but it was put to good use,

i have £200 left on it after my balance transfers at 0%

was miffed when i phoned up to do the second transfer and they offerd me a life of banace at 6% with no fee......

but the balance will be paid in full by the end of the 0% period in april 2010

my only question is.........

i have a mbna card with £500 limit @ 29.9 % that had a deposit of £100
nationwide gold card with £3,200 limit at 15.9% linked with my account

is it worth me keeping the mbna card? also i was going to close the barclaycard after i had paid it off as i have cut the card up so i know i cant spend on it after my balance transfers......

i only use my gold card for emergencys or when i want to buy an expensive electrical item or car service to spread the cost over 2 months, and want to keep it due to the high limit and fact its gold and my mbna card was used up over xmas, i have the cash to clear the barclaycard now, but would rather pay off £100 a month and keep the rest in the bank, i also dont want to be applying for anything this year as i have a lot of searches on my credit profile.....

is it worh me keeping these 3 cards and seeing what offers i get? as the barclaycard will be the only card ill be paying off as the others will go in the draw for safe keeping.....

Congrats on the 0% card :j

I would put the other 2 away in a drawer so that you're not tempted for frivolous items.

If you are on a 0% deal, then why not just set up a DD for the min payment, and then put the cash in a savings account so that you are earning a bit of interest, and pay off the balance in full a few weeks before the 0% period ends.
