Thank you for answering me about the books everyone. :A Because the Complete Bread Machine Cookbook that was recommended twice is quite pricy :rotfl:
Hi,
Of the books I have I think this one is the best, and it is available on Amazon for just over £1 (maybe second hand).
This site has been suggested here in another recnt thread, and has loads of BM recipes - real measures too.
I am sure you will be delighted with your BM.

I've been very sucessfully handmaking bread (for more decades than I care to admit to here) & never considered getting a breadmaker. but was given one by a friend who didn't use it & am absolutely amazed at how much I like my machine, a MR Fastbake
now I'm thinking of ways to justify buying a Panasonic
New Panasonic arrived yesterday, a day early so a nice surprise :j
Yep I absolutely love it. Made the white rapid loaf straightaway and then a 50/50 wholemeal with honey and sunflower seeds overnight. I am restraining myself from making another today as don't want to be buried in bread :rotfl: and it is so nice to have it fresh.
I have hand made bread for a very long time too and I expect I will still do so sometimes but this way for me, for now, means less kitchen time and less washing up.
Thanks for all the advice folks:T

Glad I'm not the only one who loves her breadmaker. I've had it a few years but in the last year have been using it more and more frequently. I found I didn't get along too well with bread actually cooked in the breadmaker - bizarre shape not good for sandwiches, hole in the bottom etc.
But now I just make dough, tip out onto a floured surface then either sling in a loaf tin or make rolls (brilliant for packed lunches or freezing). Easy, and impresses the visitors cos it looks like I've been kneeding all morning.0
