Hi,
I recently won an item on e-bay and paid immediately with Paypal. When I logged onto my e-bay the next day there was a note next to the sellers name saying she was no longer a registered member.
I e-mailed to seller to ensure that the item (only 4.25 including postage) would be sent to me as I was worried about the no longer being registered bit. She did reply saying that she had been suspended for putting "LIKE ....." in the title of one of her descriptions. The suspension was for 14 days. It is now over a week and the item has still not arrived despite her assurances that it would be posted immediately.
Do e-bay really suspend sellers for mispresenting the name of an item for sale or do you think I should be more worried?
Thanks

I may be wrong but they dont usually suspend ebayers for putting 'like' in their auction listings. They usually just delete the item and send the seller a warning. People are usually suspended from ebay for selling fake goods, dvd copies and bootlegs etc etc. Try getting her contact details from ebay. Other than that file an 'item not received' alert and do a chargeback on paypal.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

like black saturn says start a paypal chargeback immediately. When/if the item turns up you can cancel it, but cover yourself meanwhile.

Also look up on ebay getting contact details (cant recall the exact term) but if you're involved in a transaction with someone you can have their contact details emailed to you. You can often then do a google search against name or address or phone number etc to contact them.
Having been told "tough luck mate" in an email I think one seller was very surprised when I phoned his home one evening to enquire whether "he was going to refund me or commit fraud, which my credit card company would happily investigate, especially now I'd located him". I got a refund next day...0 -

The seller may have been NARU'D
for not paying there ebay fees, its more than likely hes been selling copies / fakes and such like but you never know.

Thanks for all your responses. I did e-mail her yesterday and received a reply stating that the item had been posted. Perhaps I will give her until the weekend and then follow advice as above. I am thinking she would not bother to reply if she did not intend to send item, or am I being too trusting?0

I'd do it anyway. You can always stop the chargeback if you receive the item.0
