Cheapest Gas Company

Can somebody help me out.

I am currently with southern electricity and gas.

I spend an average of £10 a day on gas and its getting too much on my head.

I want to switch to meter, that is paying monthly.

What's the best deal now.

Cheers

do you mean you have pre-payment meters for both? (where you have to use a card or key to top up)?

If so, and you mean you want to be able to pay by direct debit, then you need to phone up your suppliers and ask for the meters to be changed from pre-payment to standard (credit) meters? They will advise you then whether this is possible and how much they will charge you for doing this.

I would take a look at uswitch.com or energyhelpline if you want to see which tariffs would be cheapest, once you have had your meter changed.

I believe you can switch suppliers even with a prepayment meter, but I believe you're restricted to which tariffs are charged, and they are more expensive than the other tariffs possible with the credit meters.
Indecision is the key to flexibility :)
  • There is a not for proffit gas company celled EbiCo Equigas, they are the only not for proffit gas company in the UK. They have no standing charge and charge prepay and credit meter customers the same amount so no discrimination for being on prepay, I only use a tenner of gas a week yet I am still saving £140 a year on that. They have no advertisng, shareholders, or expensive directors to pay for hence the ridiculously large savings you can make. Hope this helps, please let me know how you get on C.B
