Phone Number Available for Illegal Parking

Hi - I got a parking ticket the other day as I needed to have my van close to the property I was working at and there were no spaces available, so I parked half in a parking space and half on double yellow lines. I left a note saying which house I was working in, but got a ticket:mad: . I saw the traffic warden and asked him why he didn't knock the door where I was working (sounds stupid now - why on earth would he do that), but he said that he wasn't allowed to do that. Anyway, he was very nice (at the end of the day he was only doing his job) and he gave me a local telephone number to ring just in case I have the same problem again, where you can phone and let them know that you will be parking illegally for your work and then you won't receive a ticket. Just thought I would let everyone know that if it is available in my area then it most probably will be in yours. If you ring your local council and ask the for the parking department they should be able to help.
ps I did appeal, but lost and didn't want to appeal again as if I lost again then I would have had to pay £70 instead of the original £35.

Hi Sue, which council issued the ticket?
Some PCNs aren't compliant and can be appealed that way - you'd need to scan and upload the PCN (front and back & remove vehicle reg, and any personal info) so someone like Neil could look at it. Unless he already knows from the name of the council alone.
If you need help with upload/scanning there's a welcome sticky on the main board which should help
