The group has gone into administration and closed all of its nine London stores. Its website is "currently down for maintenance".
The Australian-made Ugg boots are hugely popular with women including celebrities such as Kate Moss and Sarah Jessica Parker.
They have also been spotted on the feet of a string of high-profile men including Leonardo DiCaprio and Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood.

No-o-o-o-o! :eek: I live in my only pair of Ugg boots.
Where can I buy a lifetime's supply before they disappear forever?YouGov: £50 and £50 and £5 Amazon voucher received;
PPI successfully reclaimed: £7,575.32 (Lloyds TSB plc); £3,803.52 (Egg card); £3,109.88 (Egg loans)0 -

Wait a minute, is this the Uggs that is actually the proper Australian Uggs; or the Uggs that is that American multinational company that stole the name and the design, copied and patented them, set up stores worldwide, and then threatened to sue the Australian Uggs of they tried to even keep calling their own product Uggs?
If its the former, good riddance to them. I believe the Aussie version is a family business and you can buy off their website.
Edit - yes Uggs us alive and well and ships to the UK : http://www.uggstore.com.au/index.php?currency=GBP&gclid=CM7kvMbhhJgCFU4g3godumy9Cw
I hope "Deckers" rott in bankruptcy, couldnt happen to a nicer bunch of people.0 -
It's the major UK importer of them that's gone under ... so those of you who need an ugly foot fix will still be able to pick some up probably. Just they'll get short in supply.
You could get one of these instead perhaps: http://www.celtic-sheepskin.co.uk/cat.asp?productCode=AG&id=210110 -

Kate Kuba is just a mini chain that expanded on the back of the Ugg boom; they stocked a wide variety of Ugg products plus other brands. This type of retail concept has had it's day (on current rental levels) as they can only mark up by a set amount (usually X 3)....not enough margin for nowadays.
Drapers is a pretty dire trade mag....everyone that wins Drapers awards seem to go bust a few months later...it's an inside trade joke; don't enter the awards, cos if you win, you'll go down.0 -
Hope my wife wins one of these awards. :-D0
