Smaller Scart plugs?

Hi,
Does anyone know whether you are able to buy scart leads with smaller plugs? The plug adds at least an inch to the back of my freeview unit meaning that the unit doesn't sit flush in the shelving system I have which is not deep enough.

I doubt you will as they're designed to protect where the wires go into the metal contact points

These 90 degree ribbon SCART leads are quite shallow.

I'm not sure such a thing exists. You can get scart leads with ribbon cables, which might be worth a look.

I once heard of someone who had a similar problem and just took the casing off the scart plug, which solved it. It would probably involve damaging it, though...

EDIT: I think Fifer's suggestion above is as good as it's going to get!
