I used my credit card to buy some draws recently from MFI which are faulty i cant get my money back from them so i am trying to get a refund on my asda credit card, they are saying they want a report from a cabinet maker describing the damage and cost, can they do this as this will incure costs on my part.Thanks.

YES, they need to see that they are indeed faulty and that you have a legitimate claim otherwise everyone would be claiming regardless, though any extra expense should not be bourne by you in the long run.

It seems that they want a report on how much it would cost to repair them but they are faulty goods so cant i ask for my money back and let the credit card company take the goods away,thanks.Apb0

I believe you can demand a refund rather than have a repair.
Do you have free legal advice on your home insurance?
If so then it may well be worth ringing them for free advice.
Otherwise you will need to google for the Concusmer Credit Act (CCA) and Sales of Goods Act (SOGA) and quote the relevant sections yourself to demand your rights.0 -
