hi there
i have a webcam but i do not know what drivers i need as there is no information or writing on the webcam. (i have no packaging or documents for it )
the webcam is 1.3 megapixel i think has 6 lights 3 either side ( which light up when it gets dark) and is of a metal grey colour , and can be clipped to the monitor
i have tried using driverscan from driverguide.com but no luck says unknown

This sounds like a slivercrest from Lidls can you post a picture?
Try this http://www.mysilvercrest.de/en/artikel.php?a=790 -

What happens when you plug the webcam in? Does it ask to search for drivers (disc/internet)?
It sounds like one on one of my PC's which adopted an HP driver from the Internet even though it's not HP branded (from SVP originally).
PS Mine is similar to the silvercrest one but no badging on it.0 -
my cam looks exactly the same, i downloaded the driver run the install but when i plugged the cam in got the message found new hardware wizard0

Let windows download the driver for you and see what happens.0

Plug in, go to device manager, right click on the unrecognised device, select properties, details, Device Instance ID's from drop down menu and note the four character codes after VEN and DEV in the sting that appears (These are Vendor ID and Device ID)
Google them together, and the chances are someone else has discussed it before. Then you can proceed to find a driver.
EDIT: must post faster.Russia is HERE0
