I have bought mine for this year - they're doing 2 bags for £5 and each of the bags contains at least 20 spuds ( 1 1/2 kilos I think) So good value I think, esp as I've been looking at the T&M site and it's £2.29 for 5 spuds - nearly 50p a spud:eek:
I've bought charlotte (2x), nicola and Arran piper and that will actually be too many for my wee garden but I'm giving some to the school too and to a wee boy I know who likes to grow some but his mum's too mean to buy any!!

Thats exactly the type of thing I'm looking for. Thank you.

I've got some of B&Q 99p buckets so want to try some potatoes in them. That size of pack looks ideal.

Nice idea from Suttons but by the time you add postage your better off buying them from B&Q

Incidenatally Homebase were selling a 3 variety pack with planting bags for around £5 yesterday, there were only a few left so i guess they have been on sale for a while

If I'm passing the a homebase I'll have a look in.
Yeah the suttons postage will increase the cost but I was thinking of ordering some other seeds and the like as well so might be worth it.

I bought some B & Q seed potatoes (Arran Pilots) two years ago and had a fabulous crop. Missed them last year so bought dearer ones from a garden centre, and was really disappointed.

Managed to get some last week from B & Q, and got the 15% off as well, so they cost £4.25 a bag :T

Hi what size are your 99p buckets? How many you going to put in each?
Want to grow my own this year but everywhere seems to sell big bags, was advised Wilkos sell 5 for £1 whihc is ideal.

Did see the £4.99 bag set in Homebase, comes with 3 varieties, 3 bags just need the fertiliser. Think they were earlies and later ones

    The buckets are 14L
    These ones

Not sure how many to put in but thinking of making it two or three depending on the size of the potatoes
