    No, because it's out of warranty. But you can certainly try, and worth doing so because you have nothing to lose. However your contract is with the retailer you bought it from, not the manufacturer, so start with them.
    The problem with laptop power sockets is that they are always vulnerable to the cable being knocked or tripped over and the socket consequently failing, so you would have a hard job to prove it was only normal wear and tear.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
