Personally I would recommend Portugal. We are going in March and we have been in every month and have always been lucky with the weather. At the moment, it is sunny and warmish (14 degrees) and looks lovely. There is a possibility of rain, of course, but you would have to be really unlucky. I have never yet come back without a tan, even in November, December and January! Don't go to Albafeira or Vilamoura or any of the really touristy places. We like further along the coast towards Cape St. Vincent, like Carvoeiro, Alvor, Luz, Burgau, any of those places on the coast. There is also the other way, more towards Spain as well. Hope this helps.

We are going to Luz in Potugal in May and found this great site

    http://www.algarve-luzbay.com/webcam_index.html

It has a web cam that takes photos every 30mins and shows the temperature at the time plus it has photos of the village but is near enough to more livelier places if you need some action.

It is about one and a half hours from Faro airport.

    Hope this helps

food for thought with both Morroco or Portugal
  • How's about Cyprus?

Was having a look myself. Try https://www.bargainholidays.com or https://www.thomsonfly.com

I checked these last night and if you can travel tomorrow or next week then there are holidays available for £74!!! (That's 7 nights, from Manchester - would imagine other places are included as well).

checked the weather and it is 65 degrees (rain today) but sunny tomorrow!

yes that the problem we want to escape these "things" but I think not as need some warm sun for my wife to help her "chest-breathing" problems.
After all this time of year should be quiet in Cyprus and yes that temperture is just about right.
    Or Canaries??

Sorry - didn't log on yesterday - I was busy at work but this grey, cloudy, damp weather has made me want to be on holiday! You would fly into Faro from wherever you are - we get cheap flights either with Monarch or Jet2.com. You would have to hire a car as you need one in Portugal. It's about an hour from Faro to wherever you want basically as the Algarve isn't that big. As recommended above, Luz (or any of the other places I mentioned) are really nice. On the Luz website, I think there are places to stay. Good luck - I hope you get a nice sunny break wherever you go.
