Hi there
Quinn Insurance are an Irish firm that have started up in the UK. I know very little about them, but a search on the Irish Regulator's Website confirmed that they were fined 3.25m euros in October 2008 for irregularities with some loans and their chairman stepped down over the issue. Here's a link to the information on the Reglulator's website

Up to you if you trust them or not.In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0 -

Another point is that if you access Quinn Direct for home insurance through a comparison website and put details such as lock-type etc. read the small print because a lot of their small print and terms and conditions will not consider the details you put into the comparison website.
For example, I entered that we have 'other locks' on our doors on a comparison website, and Quinn Direct was quoted the cheapest.
Upon entering their site to purchase the insurance I notice that their small print states they do not cover theft unless you have a 5-lever mortice deadlock on all doors and a multi-point locking systems at all windows.
I don't know anyone who has such security in their home. Ridiculous. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Insurance Times which is an Insurance Industry paper recently carried out a survey of brokers with relation to Insurance companies and Quinn were rated in the bottom third. They were actually second from bottom.
The survey was carried out in respect of Commercial Insurance but my experience with them on normal insurance would back up the surveys results.
I personally would recommend you chose a different insurer and pay the little extra and have piece of mind.0
