Tesco 12-month - still available? Best option?

Options
Is the Tesco in-store clubcard deal still available? - the one that offers 0% on all purchases (Tesco and elsewhere) for 12 months? I see it's still listed on the "0% purchase rate credit cards" page on stoozing.com but the "info" link doesn't work and I can't find it mentioned anywhere else except in google caches. If it is available, what *exactly* do I ask for in the shop (at customer services, I presume?) And is it an instant decision or do they send forms away or something? And what would people advise I request as a credit-limit? - I've read that I should ask for more than I need/want, is that correct?

If the Tesco offer is still available in-store, is it the best one to start with? And if it's not available, or not the best, what is the best offer to go for?

both cards by tesco are cracking deals in my eyes m8..
  • I have another question relating to the same card:- I had one for a year, for a BT, then cancelled it last May time when the free BT period ended.

Should I be able to apply for the same card again, or should I leave it a bit longer before re-applying?

I need to apply for about 4 or 5 cards at the same time in late May

RBSG cards generally require an 8-month 'wait'. However, now that Tesco have 100% ownership of TPF I'm not sure if that still applies.

Best to ring and ask them?

It also appears that the Tesco 12 month Purchases card is no longer available.

This card is definitely still available. I picked up a leaflet in store (next to checkouts), filled it in and sent it off in the post about two weeks ago.

I have been accepted and my pin number arrived today. :T

The only leaflet I could find in store didn't have the 12-months-0%-on-purchases info on it - I've binned it now so I can't remember if it was offering 9 months or 6 months or maybe it was on balance transfers.

I wonder if you got in just before they withdrew that offer - I know it was on the website and then a couple of days later (when I started this thread), it wasn't - and when I mentioned it on stoozing.com, it was removed from the list of 0% purchase cards. (There are only 6-months on purchases cards listed there now.)

Have taken out the Halifax 12-month one now anyway *shrug*
